Why Nigeria has not advanced – Bisi Akande

PIONEER National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bisi Akande, bemoaned Tuesday that the underdevelopment of the nation is due to the lack of succeeding governments to create a development strategy for important sectors of the economy.

At a lecture honoring Reuben Fasoranti held in Akure, Ondo State, Akande made this statement.

However, the former governor of Osun State gave the people of Nigeria the reassurance that “the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, is presenting a 20 to 50 years development plan that would stop underdevelopment in the country.

“We fail to plan, yet we are surprised that we fail in nearly every sector, as we are all slipping into generations of plan-less hypocrites,” he remarked.

“That was not what we inherited, I can promise you of that. In the same nation, we previously had capital development plans that were five and seven years in length. We are now solely making plans for the upcoming election.

“We praise God that Nigerians chose a leader this time around who has long planned to serve as our President.

Baba Fasoranti is familiar with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, who also carries on the planning and honorable traditions of the Awoists.

Therefore, it is appropriate and necessary to anticipate President Tinubu’s master plan for Nigeria over the next 20 or 50 years, which will turn this blessed nation into a great one.
